Seasonal Harbormaster Assistant - Paddle Safety

The City of Newport is hiring dedicated Harbormaster Assistants
Paddle Safety to engage with paddlers ashore and on the water using a kayak or paddleboard. In this role, you will:

Promote safety regulations, including the use of life jackets.
Inform paddlers of potential hazards.
Provide support for special events, such as folk and jazz festivals.
Assist with onshore educational activities.
Basic Qualifications:
Prior paddling experience required.
Demonstrated paddling skills.
Strong communication skills and a passion for water safety.
